Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the difference between 613HCS housekeeping and a regular cleaning company?
Our focus is on care-based home support, not deep cleaning. We help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable home while also offering companionship, conversation, errands, and meal prep. We do not provide intensive cleaning tasks like ovens, fridges, or window washing. Our services are designed for seniors, individuals with changing abilities, and families needing ongoing home support.
What tasks are not included?
We do not perform deep cleaning or heavy-duty tasks such as:
-
Oven or refrigerator cleaning
-
Window washing
-
Moving large furniture
-
Cleaning curtains or blinds
-
Hazardous cleanups
Our goal is to maintain daily cleanliness and safety, not complete renovation-level cleaning.
Do you offer one-time or occasional housekeeping visits?
Yes. While many clients prefer weekly or biweekly support, we also provide occasional or short-term visits based on availability. We can discuss your needs during your consultation.
Do your Housekeepers bring their own cleaning supplies?
Clients are responsible for supplying all cleaning products and equipment such as vacuums, mops, and detergents. These items must be in good working order and properly labelled for safety. Our Housekeepers do bring their own personal protective equipment and follow all Ontario health and safety protocols.
What happens if my home environment is considered unsafe?
For the safety of our staff and clients, services may be refused if conditions include: heavy smoke, unsafe animals, signs of communicable illness, poor lighting, broken stairs, ice on walkways, excessive clutter, aggression, intoxication, or inappropriate behaviour. We will work with families whenever possible to improve conditions so service can resume.
What forms of payment do you accept, and how much does housekeeping cost?
Rates vary based on visit length, frequency, and level of support. We offer transparent hourly pricing, and we can help tailor a schedule that fits your needs and budget. All payments are recorded, and receipts are provided for your records. Contact us for a personalized estimate.
What tasks can a 613HCS Housekeeper help with?
We can assist with dusting, vacuuming, laundry, light meal preparation, kitchen disinfecting, bathroom cleaning, bed-making, errands, shoveling small entryways, basic pet care, and friendly social interaction. We customize our tasks to each client’s needs and comfort level.
Can the Housekeeper also provide companionship?
Yes. Our Housekeepers are trained to offer meaningful social interaction, conversation, activity engagement, and emotional support. Many clients enjoy the comfort of having someone to talk to, share a tea with, or accompany them on light walks or errands.
Are your services insured and confidential?
Absolutely. All 613HCS staff are fully insured, trained, and supervised. We follow strict privacy legislation, meaning your personal information is always protected and shared only with designated team members involved in your care.
